Guns N' Roses Album

Nothing whatsoever to do with films or marketing but managed to get hold of a pre-release copy of the new G N R album Chinese Democracy last night.

As a big GNR fan from 'back in the day' I was looking forward to this very much.

I found this site and it's quite interesting but the youth audience are a bit different to the GNR fans I remember from the late 80's and early 90's! See it here GNR News

  1. I once met Izzy Stradlin back stage at a Guns N Roses concert in Stockholm (my uncle was the stage manager). I was only young though so panicked when Izzy spoke to me. I mumbled something crap and then walked away. I was an idiot. A great night though. I stood with Motley Crue just before they went out on stage to support the Roses, I watched off stage in wonder as the band members pointed at the ladies that took their fancy and the support crew invited them back stage. Crates of whisky and other spirits where all over the place and I had a brief look into the backstage meeting room near the end that was full of gorgeous women, booze and the band...I was not allowed in.

Is the album any good? I must pick up a copy

  2. It's pretty good but only halfway through to be honest, the day job keeps getting in the way!

I was expecting a Welcome to the Jungle-esque start (age must be showing again) but it wasn't quite there.

    Sure it will be good.

Ps - get someone to buy you Slash's biography for Christmas, it's a really interesting read!

  3. Damn the day job! They suck and get in the way of so much good stuff. I've got a stack of paintings commissioned which would bring in much needed extra moolah but the day job to pay the bills gets in the way. Grrr!

Damn, I think I've got a cold as well. Today sucks
